Our Turkey & Pumpkin bones are one of our seasonal biscuits, they contain fresh pumpkin which is only available for a short window (usually Oct to Dec) we cook as much as possible & freeze it, when we’ve used all our reserves the recipe is put back into the book until October comes around again.
Pumpkins are packed full of nutrients. They contain loads of vitamin A, respectable amounts of vitamin C, and good quantities of other enriching minerals like potassium. Happily, it’s also low fat & low calorie. Pumpkin is also packed full of fibre. The fibre contained in Pumpkin is a soluble fibre and this can absorb excess water in the digestive tract, reducing or relieving diarrhoea. Conversely, a pumpkin’s high fibre content can act as a laxative, the combination of fibre and moisture can be of great benefit in creating bulk that stimulates bowel movements.
